Welcome

I'm 30 now and may be about to suffer a midlife crisis... I have a pretty well paid job and in many ways that has stopped me from saving more (huh?), as I don't really have to monitor what I spend. I realise I have saved well over the past few years, but probably not well enough. I probably now spend too much money on beer food and other extravagances and now would like to keep track of things. Since buying a house I've had a fair amount of savings for sometime now, which is very pretty good, but I'd like to increase these, but also importantly, start really paying off my mortgage.

I also made around £2700 from other money making activities such as matched betting, which was a good boost, and I rekon I should make around £2,000 this year with little effort. Also as they say, a penny saved is a penny earned.

This blog may help me to focus on a couple of objectives (to be refined over the next few weeks).

- Waste Less Money
- Pay Off Mortgage
- Enjoy Life More

A little tip someone once gave me - look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
